Device-to-device transfer

Send files between devices in your browser

Open AllFileGo in a supported browser on each device. After the sender approves the receiver, the files move directly between the devices instead of being uploaded to AllFileGo storage.

Three-step transfer

Pair the devices, approve the receiver, then transfer.

  1. 01

    Share

Use the QR code, private link, or six-digit room code.

  2. 02

    Approve

Compare the security code and accept the requesting device.

  3. 03

    Send

The devices send the files directly through their browsers and check them on arrival.

01

How to send files between devices

Choose files or a folder on the sending device. AllFileGo creates a QR code, private link, and six-digit room code. Use any one of them on the receiving device.

Under the hood, this is a browser-to-browser WebRTC transfer: the browser on each phone, tablet, or computer creates the live file path.

Both devices show the same security code. Compare the code, then approve the receiver on the sending device. File names and file data are shared only after approval.

  • Open AllFileGo on the sending device and select up to 100 files
  • Share the QR code, private link, or room code
  • Compare the security code shown on both devices
  • Approve the receiver and keep both pages open until the transfer finishes
02

Sending on the same or different networks

If both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, LAN, or hotspot, they may send the file through that local network. If they are on different networks, their browsers can create a direct connection over the internet.

AllFileGo currently uses direct connections only. If a firewall, VPN, mobile carrier, or network setting blocks a direct connection, the transfer stops instead of quietly sending the file through a relay server.

03

Keep both devices available

AllFileGo sends files live. It does not create a download link for later. Keep both devices online, keep both pages open, and make sure the receiver has enough free storage.

Phones and tablets may pause a page when it is in the background. Keep AllFileGo visible during the transfer when possible. A short interruption may resume if the same transfer session is still active.

  • No account or installation
  • Sender approval before transfer
  • Pause, resume, stop, and recovery from short connection drops
  • File verification before the receiver saves the completed file
