Prepare both devices
A large transfer happens live. Keep both devices online and awake until it finishes. Make sure the receiving device has enough free space. Choose a destination folder if the browser offers that option.
If the receiver uses the browser's Downloads folder, AllFileGo temporarily stores the incoming file inside the browser until verification finishes. The browser needs enough temporary storage as well as enough space in Downloads.
- Keep both devices awake and the browser available
- Use a locally stored source instead of a cloud-backed file provider
- Choose a destination folder where the browser supports it
- Leave extra free space for temporary browser storage when using Downloads
How AllFileGo limits memory use
The sender reads and sends only a controlled amount of data at a time. The receiver writes and checks each part as it arrives. This prevents the whole file from being held in memory at once.
The slowest part sets the overall speed. That may be the source storage, sender upload, Wi-Fi or internet route, receiver processing, or destination storage.
What pause and recovery can do
Pause stops new file data after the small amount already in transit reaches the receiver. If the network changes briefly, the transfer may continue from the last part the receiver confirmed.
Closing or reloading either page ends the transfer. AllFileGo does not create a permanent resume link or keep a file copy for later.
Incomplete files are not saved as complete
Incoming data stays in temporary private storage until the whole file arrives. AllFileGo saves the completed file only after its size and SHA-256 fingerprint match the sender's file.
If the transfer is stopped, storage runs out, or verification fails, AllFileGo removes the temporary data instead of showing a partial file as complete.
When cloud storage is a better fit
Use a stored transfer link or cloud drive when the receiver cannot be online now, when you need one file to remain available to several people, or when restrictive networks cannot establish a direct route.
